About — Owen Lawton

I'm a creative producer and video editor relocating to New York in May 2026. I've edited content for Sony Music and Epic Records, produced platform-native short-form work with over six million collective views, and grew a consumer brand's monthly revenue 36% in five months through marketing strategy and performance tracking. I understand content from both sides — what makes it work creatively and what makes it work commercially.

My background sits at a junction most people in production don't have.

On the creative side, I've edited content for Sony Music and Epic Records — BTS and social-first editorial for a Grammy-nominated artist's single release, delivered across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. I've built platform-native short-form content that has accumulated over six million collective views, studying what works at the hook, what sustains retention through the middle, and what produces the rewatch or share. I cut independently, start to finish, without direction.

On the business side, I stepped into a consumer brand in September 2025 that needed structure, ran marketing experiments across acquisition and retention, built performance tracking from scratch, and grew monthly revenue from roughly $28,000 to $38,000 by February 2026. That's 36% in five months. The creative assets I built were designed around specific commercial outcomes, not aesthetic preferences.

That combination of creative execution and business judgment applied simultaneously is what I bring to every project. I'm relocating to New York in May 2026 to pursue production and editorial work in music and branded content full time. I'm available for projects starting immediately upon arrival.
